When your relationship feels stuck
Most couples reach a point where something doesn’t feel right.
You might find yourselves having the same conversations without resolution, feeling more distant than you used to, or struggling to understand each other in the way you once did.
For many couples I work with, there’s a sense of being stuck — unsure how things got here, and unsure how to move forward.
Couples counselling offers a space to slow things down, understand what’s happening, and begin to find a way through it together.
Couples Therapy.
Why Couples Come to Therapy
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from couples counselling.
Some couples come with a specific issue, while others simply know something has shifted in the relationship.
Common reasons include:
Repeated arguments that go in circles
Communication breaking down or becoming tense
Feeling emotionally or physically disconnected
Loss of intimacy or closeness
Navigating life changes (parenthood, work stress, illness)
Trust issues or the impact of betrayal
Feeling unheard, criticised, or misunderstood
Questioning where the relationship is heading
Is Couples Therapy right for us?
Couples therapy works best when both people are willing to engage honestly in the process.
You don’t need to have all the answers — just a willingness to reflect and explore what’s happening between you.
If there are concerns around safety, ongoing abuse, or addiction, we can discuss whether individual support may be a better starting point.
How I Can Help
My role isn’t to take sides or tell you what to do.
Instead, I’ll work with both of you to understand:
What’s happening beneath the surface of your difficulties
The patterns that keep you feeling stuck
How each of you experiences the relationship
What each of you needs, but may struggle to express
Many couples already try to resolve things — but often end up repeating the same cycle.
Together, we’ll begin to step out of those patterns and explore new ways of communicating and relating.
Over time, this can help you:
Feel heard and understood
Communicate more openly and effectively
Reduce conflict and tension
Rebuild trust and connection
Feel closer again — emotionally and physically
Alongside being an accredited individual therapist, I am also trained and experienced in relational therapy, and hold a Professional Certificate in Relationship Therapy from the Institute of Couples Therapy.
I offer a number of in person session slots each week for couples work. I offer fortnightly sessions, at 1.5hrs per session. I currently have regular session times available with immediate start.
Fees are £45 per person, per session.
Every couple’s situation is different, but I usually suggest that we commit to 6 initial sessions and then review as the work progresses.
